Anthropology & GIS
As a Master of Arts Candidate at the University of Montana, I expect to earn my graduate degree in Anthropology with a research focus in landscape perspectives by May 2021 and a Professional Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in November 2020. My thesis specializes in an ethnophysiographic model to understand the relationship between toponyms (place names) and landscape of the Missoula County area over time using ethnographic case studies, imagery, and land-cover data with GIS analytic tools. I am excited to present this portfolio and begin my career to build experience in an environment which will allow me to utilize my GIS skills and certificate to begin working with this technology.
